The DESL system is frequently used to produce PostScript graphic output - plots - and a facsimile of one typical plot is displayed below. This type of plot is produced by the pubplot DESL command.

Overlaid on this plot example are definitions of parts of the plot in a red font. Much of the terminology used in these definitions is the same as in the pubplot documentation proper itself. The plot facsimile shown is a single plot-per-page plot. It is possible, using the pubplot DESL command, to produce a page containing an unlimited number of plots per page.
