DESL Macro Collection
The following is a list of the currently defined DESL user macros which are available for inspection and/or downloading (file|save as) from your browser.
See the macrolib command for a discussion of how to activate macros in a DESL session.
Beta derivative.
Compute standard beta derivatives from two files
containing alpha sweep lateral data at two different values
of beta.
The second file's dependent lateral variable ( rolling moment
coefficient "crm", yawing moment coefficient "cym", side
force coefficient "cy") data will be fit via a third-order
piece-wise polynomial curve to correspond the values of the
independent variable ("alpha") from the first file. The values
of "beta" and "run" will be brought along for reference.
Calling syntax : bd file1 file2 newfile
Assumes the names of variables which will be used to compute
derivatives are on the files as "alpha", "beta" ,"crm",
"cym", "cy", "run" .
See/download the source of the macro.
Performance Calculations.
Compute some common aircraft performance parameters for various
combinations of test/run/CLcruise.
See/download the source of the macro.
Reform of Data.
Restructure one or more files which are a function of some independent
variable, each at constant values of a second variable, into
files which vary in the second variable at constant values of
the original independent variable. Fitting can be done during this
process.
