CS) Details concerning the DESL
password command.DESL MUST be activated upon each new use with the specification of either a demonstration OR unrestricted password, either of which would have been issued via email to the person who originally issued the download.
The "password" command should be followed by (1) a 16-character password and, if the current version of DESL is a demonstration version, (2) the current date in a mmddyy, for 2-digit month numbers, or mddyy, for 1-digit month numbers 5- or 6-character form, respectively. The need to have to enter this at each invocation of DESL is not a burden as this command can easily be entered interactively or can be included on a DESLINIT initialization file.
If the "password" command is issued without any following password or password + date a 4-character "reference code" is reported. This reported 4-character code provides the coordination between the DESL executable (desl.exe) you have downloaded and thelist of passwords maintained by ViGYAN. See the password entry form.
