filesuffix command.
filesuffix ".txt"
Will set the string ".txt" as the suffix to append to the name
of each new file generated, up to the limit of the allowable
file name length (usually 16 characters).
fs
Will eliminate any existing file suffix string.
fs "." PID 3
Will set the string ".###", where ### is a number = the 3 least
significant digits of the process ID number.
